PBI Service Refresh Fails -Error -Microsoft SQL: Execution Timeout Expired

Hi all,

My source is Azure Synapse. I have configured Incremental refresh in PBI Desktop and published to Service. It was working fine .
But suddenly i am getting below error

Last refresh failed: 1/22/2023, 5:17:51 PM
There was an error when processing the data in the dataset.
Hide details

Data source error:{"error":{"code":"ModelRefresh_ShortMessage_ProcessingError","pbi.error":{"code":"ModelRefresh_ShortMessage_ProcessingError","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"Message","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Microsoft SQL: Execution Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.\r\n111202;Query QID22470133 has been cancelled.\r\nOperation cancelled by user."}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}}

When I try to check refreshing from PBI Desktop ,there is no issue and it refreshes without any error.
May i Know how to resolve this issue?
I tried increasing the Command Timeout to 30 mins in PBI Desktop and republishing it and checked in PBI Service.It still shows same error in service.Is there any other method i could solve this issue.

@Anonymous Can u please provide me with the solution as early as possiblr

Hi @PowerBIShan ,

"As you noticed, connecting to Azure SQL DB is a little different from connecting to a Microsoft SQL Server. Generally for Azure, you connect to individual databases, not an entire server - so there's really no concept of configuring server timeout settings"
