PBI Desktop will not start

Installed April 2021 desktop. Now when I try to start, I get a message that says "something went wrong". Error details follow.

Same here. Installing on a windows 7 pc - not a server. What is the solution? I need Power BI up today and dropping this update with bad info is a MAJOR FAUX PAS that needs to rectified immediately.

@v-chuncz-msft As a workaround, I uploaded the pbix that I needed to edit, to powerbi.com and I'm able to do what I wanted in the browser editor. My suggestion for Desktop, however, would be to have the installer do the necessary prerequisite checks and hard-stop if it would lead to this kind of error - people could make the choice to install or not install that way!

If you uninstall and roll back to the Feb 2021 version available here, it should work again:

Still had the February update. Had to uninstall Power BI Desktop entirely first. Big waste of time.

Uninstalling Power BI Desktop, then re-installing the historical Feb 2021 version at the link in the thread.
