OneDrive Storage Not Allowing to Remove folders

Hello, 

 

I am trying to free up space on my OneDrive but I do not want to delete any items from my computer, I just want to desync them from OneDrive and keep them on my desktop. However, when I go to settings to remove the files from OneDrive it will not let me because it says that it is an important folder. I do not need to have all my pictures saved on OneDrive I just want them on my desktop and a harddrive. I just want my OneDrive to save files for work and school. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
