Onboarding Embed Tool registration error

Hi all!

Following the instruction at: Get started with Power BI Embedded - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

I'm running into an error message, on step 2, clicking 'Register', when attempting to register a new app for REST API access.

The error is ocurring on: Onboarding Embed Tool (powerbi.com)

Error when regestering application: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Microsoft.PowerBI.OnboardingEmbed.OnboardingEmbed.AddApplicationPassword(AppRegistrationOperationResult appRegistrationResult, String Token) in C:\__w\1\s\src\Clients\OnboardingEmbed\OnboardingEmbed.cs:line 202 at Microsoft.PowerBI.OnboardingEmbed.Controllers.OnboardingEmbedController.d__27.MoveNext() in C:\__w\1\s\src\Clients\OnboardingEmbed\Controllers\OnboardingEmbedController.cs:line 389

Form values

Redirect URL: Use default

API access: Tried various combinations; all, read-only, write-only, same error.

This error is ocurring while signed in as this account, which has recently started the 60 day Power BI Pro trial.

Hi @op-agw ,

Please double check the following:

1.The redirect URL you are using is correctly formatted and matches the one registered in your API settings. 
2. The API access permissions are correctly set. If you’ve tried all, read-only, and write-only, make sure that the permissions align with what your application requires.

Was able to resolve once logged in as a Cloud App Admin
