Wondering if there has been a resolution for this? I am having the same problem when attempting to connect to a SharePoint data source. URL is in https. Issue has been ongoing for a while now. I raised it internally with my IT team and we initially thought it had to do with a network wide system update. I was issued a temporary PC that hadn't been upgraded and it was working for a couple of weeks but now back to the same error message when refreshing. I can't move forward.

I'm having the same problem with sharepoint sources.  They worked fine before the update.

Our users are having the same issue.
Spreadsheets via Sharepoint URL cannot be opened anymore.

It is showing this when trying to create a new datasource
- Object reference not set to an instance of an object
or this in detail with existing pbix files
Microsoft.Mashup.Evaluator.Interface.ErrorException: Specified value has invalid CRLF characters.

If anyonce has workaround i would really appreciate this until MS fixes the issue.

Many thanks for looking into this
Simon

Having the same issue.  I cannot link any of my files to sharepoint.  Current work around is to link the files to my local PC/Laptop, however, this means that others needing to update have to do the same.

Hi,

This authentification problem is known by Microsoft product departement. They plan to fix it on the 31th of December 2021. In the meantime, they propose a workaround by disabling a feature on the computer. I will give you more information, as soon as I know which feature is concerned.

I was able to find my way around it by opening POWER BI Desktop from settings. Then click REPAIR & RESET

This error happened to me, it was a corrupted file. It seems to me that it's the same error as yours, due to this excerpt from the log: "Microsoft.Mashup.Evaluator.Interface.ErrorException: Specified value has invalid CRLF characters."

This procedure worked for me:

Expand the error details and if there is the message “Microsoft.Mashup.Evaluator.Interface.ErrorException: Specified value has invalid CRLF characters” it means that one of the files you are reading is corrupt. Try opening this file in the appropriate software, for example, if it is a spreadsheet, open it in Microsft Excel, and try to save it as a new file and replace the previous one.
