Not able to sort by custom column

I have a calender table and I am wanting to sort it so that 2018 appears above 2017 instead of below.

 

Ive added a conditional column in which has if 2018 then 1 else if 2017 then 2.

 

However when I go to the sort by column the custom field I created is not there.

On refresh it appeared though it did not show up in my column list down the side beofre I pressed refresh.

Hi @Anonymous,

 

As I tested, the calculated column in the current table is listed under Sort by column option after we create the column. Please update the Power BI desktop to the latest version then test again.
