Maps locations misplaced

Dear community,

I am preparing a report using a map to display the information. Due to ambiguity with some of the name locations (Cordoba Spain, Cordoba Argentina; Toledo Spain, Toledo Ohio (U.S.A.); Guadalajara Spain, Guadalajara Mexico...) I decided to use the coordinates, but I am completely puzzled since it is showing Spanish cities (described by coordinates, not name) in locations as far as Lituania (see the picture)... What is going on? Any suggestions on how to make it work properly? I actually wonder if that is related to so many issues I see posted where the information does not appear at all... As a possible hint, maybe it is mistakenly showing on the other side of the world and people are not even aware of it...

Needless to say, we need an urgent solution since it is not possible to work like this since the picture would be totally misleading and the decisions taken would be wrong.

Hi @Iñigo 

Can you provide sample information on the coordinates you used? Get the data (remove sensitive info) together in a table and send it to us for testing. Then specify where there are places that show up in the wrong position inside the map.

Actually the location shown in the picture is a good example. I took the screenshot so that the coordinates would show.

Location: 42°23′0″ N, 3°40′0″ W

As you can see in this link:

such coordinates correspond to Burgos in Spain and not to the location in Lituania shown in the picture.

According to the latitude and longitude you provided I have converted the data to: 42.38333 , -3.66667. You can see in my map that the red mark is Burgos and is in the area of Spain. It should be the correct location in my map. How do you set the latitude and longitude on your side? Can you provide your visualization for the map ?

Dear Ms. Tao,

Latitude and longitude are set in our model using coordinates as the ones provided. Is it required to perform any conversion like the one you are describing? I am a bit perplexed since using coordinates similar to the ones given for other locations seems to work fine, but if it is needed to perform a conversion to guarantee the location being shown properly, we will do. Please instruct us on how to proceed. Regarding visualization for the map, I do not know what you currently mean. The screenshot provided was map visualization for the given point showing Burgos coordinates in Lituania. If you mean something different, please let me know.
