Manual Refresh From App Stopped Working

I have a preview app workspace that I've published to an app.  My users have always used the app and clicked on related objects and the refresh button to refresh manually which they have to do often.  This button disappeared over the weekend.  I'm not sure what to do about this and why Power BI removed this functionality with no notice.

Would you please share a screenshot to clarify refresh button within the app you mean?

@v-qiuyu-msft  I added a screenshot.  I'm not sure how a screenshot of a button that's not there anymore is helpful, but there it is.

I got below information from PG team: 

 

"This is by design.  Only the owner of the app should be able to refresh the datasets and only at the workspace view and not in the apps view. "

So the fact that one could refresh through the app until a few weeks ago was a bug?  Is this written down anywhere besides here?  Will we be able to have any notice when changes are made to the service?

The expected result is that only owner of the app can refresh the datasets in an app. 

Generally, if there is any changes in Power BI service, we can find it in this document: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-whats-new

@v-qiuyu-msft I hope that's not the expected results because that's not what happens.  I'm the owner of the app and I can't refresh in the app and all users who have access can refresh in the workspace.  This change was not in that document.

There is no document/blog to mention this change. But as you can see my previous post, the PG team confirmed this issue is by design.
