KPI font size becomes very small when the report is published

The standard visualization KPI gets a normal font size in power BI desktop. When the desktop report gets published however the KPI font size decreases to very small numbers both in the report and app formats. I've tried the published report/app in chrome, exploerer, edge and the power BI mobile app but the size is very small everywhere.

Today I went onto PowerBI.com.  Changed the font size on my KPI using the EDIT -> Indicator -> Font Size mentioned.  Downloaded the PBIX.  Then, I made other modifications to my report and redeployed back up to PowerBI.com.  I did this hoping the font size would stay "embedded" in the PBIX, however when I redeploy, the font size change is lost.  Microsoft, you need an update to PowerBI Desktop ASAP.  We have end users looking at our Dashboards who are furious!
