Issue with Column Name with special characters

I'm having a problem creating charts or filters where words have accents.

 

This chart is using the month (in Portuguese is "mês"), when I create the chart works well, when I close and reopen the file in some charts gives me error, does not recognize the name:

The chart does not recognize the word with accent. This happens in the slicers or filters applied to the visual or the page. The strangest thing is that it doesn't happen with all the visuals.

 

I have the latest version installed, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled, I have already repaired.

 

This only happened a few days ago, probably with the July version.

 

When I publish the report the errors remain.

I'm a little confused by your description above, in the last few sentences you mention that the problem has been fixed in the latest version. However, the last sentence expresses that the problem still exists, and I want to make sure if this is a shared feedback about the problem or if you still have a problem and need further help from us!

Hi @Anonymous, sorry if I wasn't clear.

 

When this problem started to happen I already had the latest version of PBI installed, what I did was to re-install the latest version, as it continued not working I did a repair of the app. Still not solving the problem.

 

Yesterday after having create the post I also tried to install the previous version of PBI, but it also did not solve the problem.

 

All the reports I work on my PC seem to be having this problem with the special characters. It only happens with reports that are created or changed on my PC.

This problem only occurs on your PC, I tried to make a sample but it didn't reproduce your problem, to investigate this further.

Based on the above information, if you are a Power BI Pro licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.
