Issue: Grid by MAQ visual does not auto-populate the other visuals after paging

Hi!

I have some reports where I must show Individual User Profiling data, by using various visuals connected to each other & the Comments must be sorted and displayed by Latest date. For this purpose, I have used Grid by MAQ software, to achieve pagination through each individual Comment.

However now the individual comment does not appear to auto-populate my other visuals data present in the report. Also, text wrapping is not possible in Grid by MAQ.

Here are the things I have tried so far:

• Used Matrix for displaying Comments but getting all the comments in the view. Also, I need to have a click-event on a single comment to get the filtered visuals.
• Used Long-text Viewer for text wrapping purpose but couldn’t achieve pagination from that. So, I included a Date-slicer to progress through each Comment date-wise.

So far, the only way I have found this report showing correct and expected data, is by using the Matrix and passing a date slicer. However, pagination in the report is the mandatory condition.

So, is there a way where I can use grid by MAQ software, to paginate my individual Comments sorted by latest Date and that grid will auto populate (filter visuals based on current Comment present) my other visuals data. (Note: my Date column keeps on updating by latest date, after data gets refreshed)

I am working on Live mode (Direct Query) & don’t have access to create a Calculated Column, Parameter, Sort and Edit query. Even, there are limitations for altering the underlying data model.

I will surely ask the author of Grid by MAQ visual for the aforementioned issue.

Meanwhile, I just wanted to know whether can we achieve this Pagination scenario on my comments by using any other visual, instead of MAQ's grid. Or any other work-around which enables us the paging between various Comments.

There is R Datatable visual has pagination feature. But when we click page number, it will not filter other visuals.

I tried the R visuals (other than R-Datatable) but, my R visuals seem to fail working.

Because I am directly publishing my Reports to web, using the "Publish to Web" option.

Kindly suggest some other work-around if possible.
