Incremental Parameters Not Working

Hi,

I get the incremental refresh option when I right-click on the table, but it is off, and I can't enable it in the dialogbox. It says that I have to add paramaters to the dataset filter, but this has been done.
its Not getting Enabledits Not getting Enabled

Parameters DefinedParameters Defined

I have done everything, actually the data is 2.2 million rows and it takes lot of time to refresh and after applying Parameters

RangeStart (MM/DD/YYYY)

RangeEnd (MM/DD/YYYY)

and InvoiceDate (MM/DD/YYYY)
I then applied custom filter to the invoice Date and when I go to configure the Incremental Refresh it says No Parameters Defined..!

Hi @HRM5

With RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters defined, you then apply custom Date filters on your table's date column. The filters you apply select a subset of data that will be loaded into the model when you click Apply. In your describtion , you mentioned InvoiceDate (MM/DD/YYYY) . Did you apply the parameters to InvoiceDate and filter the date ?

This error should still be a problem with the parameters. Please refer to the documentation to check if your operation is wrong.

Hi @Anonymous

I have done everything according to the documentation.

Both my Parameters and InvoiceDate column are in same format and Native Query is also available but I solved that issue.

Now, I am facing after implementation of Incremental refresh, it's taking the same time to get refreshed as the full refresh takes up!! any help?

Hi @HRM5

I am so glad to hear that you have fixed your issue , can you share your method with us ?

For your second question , what is your data source ? The longer incremental refresh time may be related to the query folding and the complexity of the model . You can use Performance Analyzer to measure the processing time (including the time to create or update a visual) required to update report elements initiated as a result of any user interaction that results in running a query .

Yes @Anonymous ,  I just fixed the parameters Date/Time hh:mm:ss AM/PM (format)

but when I refresh the whole report it gives an error of something like this:

Refresh Failed 4 timesRefresh Failed 4 times

Any help?
