Getting data from on-prem sharepoint into Power BI Desktop

I have been able to connect to onPrem sharepoint fine until yesterday.  Now the following error appears:

Unable to connect

We encountered an error while trying to connect

Details:  "OData: The feed's metadata document appears to be invalid."

I have been able to access the site fine so know it's not a permission issue.

I also tried the workaround of creating a blank query and entering the source via the advanced editor, but this has not resolved the issue.

Please advise ASAP.

Thanks!

Hi @LizBethA,

As you mentioned you are able to get data from on-premise SharePoint before yesterday, please check if there is any change on SharePoint and Power BI desktop during this period.

Which connector you used in Power BI desktop to get data? Which kind of data do you want to retrieve from SharePoint? Would you please share the URL you used in desktop?

Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu

Error occurs on one site only.  We used OData Connector as well as Sharepoint List.  The MetaData for the site with issues (listdata.svc) appears to be in a different format then the other sites we have without issues.  The user states that no changes were made to the SharePoint site however.
