Following the instructions here, I have set up a Spark connector to an Azure Databricks cluster in PBI Desktop.
This works fine, but when publishing the report to a workspace I get the following error:
"Publishing succeeded, but the published report can't connect to the data source because we were unable to find a gateway. Please install and configure an enterprise gateway."
The Azure Databricks workspace is not configured to use a VNET, so I do not see why a gateway would be required.
When trying to view the published report online, it errors and is unable to display the data.
