Hi,

does anyone understand what this error message means? i am using a company computer with power. it regularly gives this error and the only resolution is to reinstall the app. it happens very frequently so is becoming a real pain now.

We noticed that you are still using the April version of Power BI, please update to the latest version to see if this issue exists?

I have a company owned Laptop and fresh installation of Windows 10 - 64 bit, MSO 2019, Cortex XDR & SQL Server 2019 is installed. Such was the case with my previous systme also; Power BI Deccember 2023 worked well on it.

However on my new system power BI wont start and ends up giving multiple errors. i've tried to uninstall PBI Desktop restatting and then installing it again - no luck. on MS Community i found a suggestion to additionally uninstall and reinstall Visual C + + 2015. tried with no luck... below is the error i get... :

P.S. : i cant try to install the latest bersion coz my org has Jan 2024 Report server and hence cant use MAY 2024 PBI Desktop application.
