Error connecting to XMLA endpoint

We're trying to connect to our dataset using the XMLA endpoints that were published, but I'm experiencing an error "Error Connecting: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request".

We're connecting from latest DAX studio using the connection string "powerbi://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/Demo". Demo is a premium workspace and has valid datasets in it.

Has anyone been able to connect using the XMLA endpoints successfully?

You have to change "myorg" to your company name + .com

There are many requirements and settings when using XMLA endpoint. The connected dataset needs to be resides in a premium workspace, Analyze in Excel feature and XMLA endpoint must be enabled. For more information, please go through this blog.

Hi Quiyun,

thanks for the update. We discovered that we had disabled the Analyze in Excel feature while working on a ticket. Once that was re-enabled we are able to connect.
