Date picker month buttons move position whilst changing months

Hi,

When you are using a date picker box to click forward or backwards by month, the size of the picker changes depending on whether there are 5 or 6 weeks rows shown (depending on the month).  This causes the month buttons to keep moving, and frustrates and slows down users because they have to keep moving the mouse to keep clicking the button in its new location.

The perfect fix would be if the date picker box stayed the same size, regardless of the number of week rows.  A small change, but it would greatly reduce the feeling of clunkiness!

Thanks

Regards, David

Hi @Anonymous,

From my understanding, when we click on ^ or v button to forward or backward one month, the month button size changed, right?

Based on my test, the month name box size is fixed when we change month.

Would you please update the Power BI desktop to the latest version then test again?

If I misunderstand your question, please share some screenshots to clarify it.

Hi Quiyun,

I'm already running the latest version of the PBI desktop.  The issue is actually the position of the ^ and v buttons moves as you cycle forward and backwards through the months.

This only happens if the slicer is at the bottom of the report screen, which forces the date selector box to sit on top of the slicer.  If the slicer is at the top of the screen and the date selector box sits below it, the problem doesn't occur because on the the bottom row of dates is moving, rather than the ^ and v buttons.

Here is a video of the behaviour - hopefully this makes it clear. 🙂
