Hi All,
Have been using a Datamart on a scheduled refresh (connected to Dataflows that are on an incremental refresh) with all running sucessfully for the past few months - but this morning the Datamart refresh failed (and continues to do so).
Downloading the refresh history details, it's showing this error message "Local Sql execution failed" and "Execution Timeout Expired"
Refresh start time | Refresh end time | Refresh Status | CPU Usage (milliseconds) | Table start time | Table End Time | Dataflow table name | Partition name | Rows processed | Error |
0:00:00 | 0:00:00 | Not Found | Error: undefinedErrorMessage=Local Sql execution failed. Message=Execution Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding..HttpStatusCode=0. |
Trying a manual refresh again so far has resulted in the same failure/error message.
Looking into the Datamart settings and trying to check the Data source credentials was showing some weird behaviour
Sometimes it will fail to load:
Sometimes it will load the four expected data sources (note: the alert message about some credentials not validated is expected)
Sometimes it will load with a fifth 'nameless' data source that I haven't seen before
Attempting to Edit credentials on this 'nameless' source shows no authentication method available
If I try to Sign in I just get a failed message
Opening the Datamart, editing the Tables in Power Query and performing a refresh loads the data as expected from the Dataflows
Going into Manage connections shows the auto-generated Damart SQL Server database (*.datamart.pbidedicated.windows.net)
Attempting to edit this connection and sign-in the check the connection also throws up an 'Unexpected Error' message
We haven't made any changes to the Datamart, Dataflows or Reports for at least a month and has been running automatically without issue up until this morning. The credentials used/saved for the other data sources have not expired and tested separately and functioning normally.
This is the first Datamart we are using, so don't have any others currently to check. However our PowerBI Reports that aren't using a Datamart but are on incremental refresh worked correctly this morning, and the Dataflows are also showing no issues.
Just wondering if this is a possible issue with the Datamart generated SQL Server as everything else checks out, or is there anything else I should look at?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff
