Data Card (New) Format Bug

Hi,
The Card New visuals is not formatting as set in Power BI Desktop.  It was working Friday without issue.

On two separate reports they are displaying incorrectly. When I attempt to troubleshoot in Power BI Desktop they look fine, but in Power BI Service the Shadows, borders and accents are opposite to the Desktop versions.

I have the same issue. When I go to edit on the service, there isn't even an option to select the new card visual even though it is the same published file.

Hello guys,

We also have similar problem:
Tried on Edge and Chrome, both same issue.
Power BI Desktop: 2.122.746.0 64-bit (October 2023)

Power BI Service: 13.0.21833.72

PBI Service:

Thanks a lot for responding.

Is there any estimation for the update date? Since these visuals are seen monthly by our clients, we would like to know if we should replace it by old cards or wait for the update.

Thanks a lot once again.

We have also discovered some problems with the New Data Card.

Since the weekend we have a problem with the visual appearance of the cards.

I may have found a workaround, maybe this will help someone:

Go to your report in PBI Service and switch to online edit mode.

Now you can select your card visuals and open the visual settings. You can now adjust the shadow, glow and accent bars in the 'Cards' setting.

These have been enabled due to the bug, but we are not using them.

After tweaking and playing around with the settings, the cards look the same as on the desktop.

Unfortunately, this workaround has to be done each time the report is uploaded.

Have noticed that new card visual are missing titles when publishing to Power BI Service

Wow, so I need to manually edit my hundreds of new card visuals in 15 reports in the dev environment, and redeploy them again to production? or do I also need to manually fix them again on each environment?

We got lots of negative feedback from corporate for poor UX due to this bug.

I'm not happy about this.

Do you have any estimated time for when formatting new card visual fixed?

@Toniqmusic - Thank you. Your temporary solution worked for me.  You saved me from showing something that looked horrible in a meeting this week.

I hope Microsoft resolves this soon. Unsustainable to do this every time new versions of reports are updated.

I have the same issue, I didn't observe this prior to installing the October 2023 version.

Exact Issue

It is turning on Cards -> Glow and Cards -> Shadow after publishing.

Temporary Fix
Turn the above settings off in Power BI Service.
