DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_TimeoutError

Hello,

 

While I have been using PowerBI Pro for months, I have never find this kind of issue, so I'm asking you in order to understand what could be wrong and fix it as soon as possible.


Some days ago the automatic scheduled refresh in one of our reports is not working after several attempts (while it's working fine in the desktop version).

 

The error message is the following:

I have tested almost everything I know it might impact, but the problem remains. Why can be this happening?

@Anonymous Is this a large dataset or complex query? Something I have noticed is that in the desktop version you can end up with cached data which will speed the refresh in the desktop version while the published version takes much longer. There are a few settings in the PBI you can try out to see if they help:

 

  • Query Caching
  • Large dataset storage format

 

In the end I had to streamline the table structure to resolve the gateway issue.

It's a software update that got released last week if I'm not mistaken.
