Composit model can't load data

Hey,

I have a composit model consisting of a SSAS tabular and an imported account schedule table (connected to the tabular model through a M2M account schedule bridge).

On my matrix visual i have 2 attributes(category and sub category) in rows and 1 in columns(department).  When uploaded to services this works great, but when uploaded with a filter (visual filter) on department  an error appears(the attribute in the column): An error occurred while retrieving data for this visualization.

In desktop all works great - its only a problem after upload. If i remove one of the row attributes or remove the filter then it works just fine.

Hi  @kelbi ,

Based on the above information, this issue is complex which may need to collect log files for further troubleshooting. Since community support engineers don't have that access, I would suggest opening a Support Ticket. If you are a Power BI Pro or Fabric licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.

Hi @kelbi ,

I did a simple test but it didn't seem to successfully reproduce your problem, it worked fine for me.

Please verify that the relationships between your tables are correctly defined and that there are no circular dependencies or ambiguous relationships that might cause issues when filtering.
Or you may try applying different filters to see if the issue is specific to the department attribute or if it occurs with other attributes as well.

Best regards.

Hey,

I checked multiple times for ambiguous relationships and circular dependencies. This has worked for a long period - it started like to month ago and i thought i got it working again. The funny thing is that today it seems like its working on services but stopped in the pbix. In the pbix i get this error: "An unexpedted error accured (file "xldqas_filterctx.cpp!. line 459 funktion "FilterCtxFixer::WrapCalculate").

I was even succesfull getting it working for a short period of time by changing the attribute in the appartment deminsion - from the department name to department number.
