Chiclet Slicer version 1.6.0 not rendering in app.

We currently have an app that uses the Chiclet slicer version 1.6.0

It does not render in the app and it says it is no longer available. It does render in the workspace and the visual still shows in the marketplace as available for download.

Is anyone experiencing this or can you confirm if the chiclet slicer has been retired?

Hi @robertschaz,

Based on my test, the Chiclet Slicer visual can display fine in a published app. In your scenario, please go to the app workspace which contains contents of the app, access the same report, check if the Chiclet slicer can display fine.

You can also try in different browsers to see if the same issue happens.

Thank you for your response,

I have performed some testing and found some curious behavior. If I go straight to the app this is what I see:

 Chiclet.JPG

That pic is taken from the Chrome browser.

However, if I go to the workspace first I can see the chiclet slicer. Then if I access the app after viewing the workspace the chiclet slicer is available to view. I have been able to duplicate this behavior in IE as well.

This is the only visual in the report that is affected.

Thank you again for replying.

Hi @robertschaz,

Please run browser in inprivate mode then view the report via app and app workspace to see the results.

How did you add the custom visual in the report? If you added it from your organization, I would suggest you contact your Power BI admin, let your admin go to Admin Portal to check if the custom visual is deleted recently. See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-portal#custom-visuals-settings
