Cardinality Error

As I try to join two tables where both (or in other cases at least one of them did) have unique values. Power BI still brings error saying the cardinality is many-to-many. Even if it lets me establish the join (incorrectly as many-to-many), it keeps bringing another error ('something went wrong...') as I try to click ok.

Any help would be appreciated.
