Cannot publish

Whenever I try to publish a dashboard I get the following error:

"Couldn't publish to Power BI. An error occurred while attempting to publish "insert dashboard name here". Unable to write data to the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."

Hi @mearl ,

Please check :

  1. Too large data model may be a reason for your scenario, maybe you can try to cut down you data size and try again.
  2. It could be the power bi server problem that you failed published, you may try it later.
  3. You can update the Power BI desktop to the latest versionthen publish again .(Download link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494)
  4. You can Go to Power BI service, workspace vcaitlynmstf_0-1678065910555.png

    -> Files to get pbix files, this has the same effect as publish from desktop.

I am facing the same issue, but the error in my file says this:

"Couldn't publish to Power BI. An error occurred while attempting to publish "name of file.pbix": Publishing failed for an unknown reason."

also I tried everything as mentioned below:

1. updatd the power bi with updated version;

2. Restarted the system installed the power bi desktop (new version and tried with x32 and x64 bit);

3. tried with different system;

4. used different datasets and different size of files;

5. Tried "My workspace" instead of any other desiganeted place.

6. Trying from past week (different time and different files)

7. Tried Direct import (into my workplace) but got "Failed to import" error.
