Cannot publish content pack

Hi,

I cannot create a content pack, I get the error below in the screenshot.

Details:

- The content pack would consist only of a report. Such report is using connected to a dataset using Power BI Service Live Connection

After months of success, my national map showing our support group and customers will not display some Zipcodes.  This seems to be following the last update.  I can change an item that is displaying properly to a Zipcode that won't display and it is gone.  Change it back and it works fine.  As an example, 50014 will not display.  Suggestions?  Trying to get the company to by off on my idea and this happens...........

I cannot repro the same issue on my side. Please refer to my recorded video and let me know if there is any difference between our repro steps.

Hi @v-haibl-msft@Vicky_Song,

The procedure is quite similar but there are two differences:

-In my case the user is creating the report by connecting to a copy of the dataset, because she doesn't have admin access to the original dataset (apparently with power bi service live connection you have to make a copy of the dataset, otherwise for her it doesn't even show up as a source).

-No datasets show up under "select item to publish", only the report (which makes sense to me - we only want her to publish the report and nothing else).

I can repro the same issue as you. I’ve reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 42784571
I’ll post here once I get any update about it.

@jgutierrez

I’ve got response from the Product Team.

The user should not publish a content pack including the report or model originating from a proxy model (an instance of content pack). In this case, the live connected report created against a proxy model should not appear when trying to create a content pack. We have created a defect to track this item.

Hi @v-haibl-msft

Any other option or what is the best practice for business users to create & share reports but without accessing directly the dataset? (basically some sort of self-service BI)
