Cannot modify Data Source settings for an AAS/Live connection report

I have a Live connection report whose data source is pointed to an Azure Analysis Services database on server "A". We migrated the data model to server "B", and I want to update the Data Source settings for my report to redirect to the new server path.
In the past, my standard method has been Transform data -> Data Source settings, update the server & database paths, and click OK. It worked, it was solid, and didn't break. This option no longer exists as of the Oct 2022 Power BI Desktop release, as far as I can tell. The Data Source settings option instead opens the Data hub window.

I am now only able to select existing published workspace datasets as the new data source for this report. I do not see any other method to re-assign the data source without creating a local model (which is unnecessary in this situation, unwanted, and not reversible). My only other alternative is to create a new report with the updated AAS dataset connection, publishing it to the workspace, using Data hub to reassign the dataset, and deleting the blank report. That is too many steps for a function that used to take 2 clicks.

In addition, the Global Data source settings option has also been replaced by the Data hub window. There is no longer a method to update or clear my global or local credentials within Power BI. I do not see any Preview features that are related to this functionality, so I do not know of any way of disabling this aside from rolling back the latest version of Power BI.
At the very least, the Data hub should be associated with a Preview feature before overriding existing functionality.

Status: Investigating

Hi @smithjoe ,

I did reproduce your problem on the latest version of Desktop, which was originally a feature optimization we will continue to try to find a viable workaround, before that I'm afraid rollback will be the easiest version to try.

If you would like to suggest  feature improvements, you may  vote the idea and comment here  to improve this feature. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
