Cannot fetch Version data from SharepointOnline list items via [ApiVersion=15]

I'm trying to extract the date at which a specific attribute, of an item in a Sharepoint Online List, has been changed.

Via Sharepoint, I can browse the list, select the item and pop up the Version History where I see who changed which attribute when. I'm then trying to extract that information via PowerBI (both Desktop and online).

I'm connecting using the SharepointOnline List connector.

Using [ApiVersion = 14], the returned value for Version is only the item list version number. Not useful in my case.

Using [ApiVersion = 15], we now see the Version as a table (Yeah!). However, when trying to navigate the table and extract the data, I get the following error:

DataSource.Error: We couldn't parse OData response result. Error: A value without a type name was found and no expected type is available. When the model is specified, each value in the payload must have a type which can be either specified in the payload, explicitly by the caller or implicitly inferred from the parent value.

Why is Microsoft now allowing the access to the table via ApiVersion 15 but we cannot decode it with PowerBI?

Please don't refer me to https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Getting-SharePoint-List-items-with-full-history-version/td-... as these are workarounds, not a real fix to this.

Thank you
