Can't set description in Power BI Report Server

When you try to set the report description on a Power BI Report in Power BI Report Server you get an error.  This only happens for Power BI Reports.

 

Here is the relevant error in the log file:

Thanks for reporting this issue and providing this helpful info. This issue is resolved in the current build of Power BI Report Server (June 2017) (14.0.600.301).

 

To resolve the issue,

  1. Download the latest build of Power BI Report Server.
  2. Run the installer and choose "Upgrade Power BI Report Server."

Hi @lkubat,

 

This is a known issue. Please check Petebro's reply in this same thread:

 

"It's a regression of functionality and will require a fix to the server.  It has been added to our backlog as a high priority bug."
