Many users in my company have complained about this issue. For the time being, we have all reverted to the May realease.

Same problem here.

New version doesn't work on windows 7 x64, but works ok in windows 10.

Going back to version of may allow you to open power bi again, but there is a problem when you try to use a data set powerbi as source.

I was told by Microsoft support that a fix will be released most likely Thursday or Friday of this week.

@niteshdambale  I am glad, it worked for you.

I tried installing it from the link shared by other members but didn't work for me and unfortunately I was not having a back-up set-up(May Release) in my system. I took the back-up file from one of my colleague and kept it here for people like me who are unable to download the May set-up from power BI archive folder.

Version 2.82.5858.961 of Power BI Desktop was posted a few hours ago. Maybe it fixes the issue.
Can someone confirm ?
