Built-in dropdown slicer refreshing after selecting an item

I have noticed recently that the dropdown slicer is getting reset to the top of the list whenever I select an item(multi-select on).

It also doesnt show the selected item on the dropdown itself when only one is selected and "multiple selected" when multiple items are selected. It just keeps showing "All".

The filtering is working as I can see other visuals being filtered by the selection.

Also, if I have a long list of items to be shown on the dropdown slicer, it would only load to a certain value and not load any more, refreshing the page and trying it again doesnt fix it, the only way was to click the "refresh" on the report itself.

 

I'm not sure if everyone is experiencing this issue or if im the only one.

 

And any local fixes around these problems would be much appreciated.

For the dropdown slicer selection issue, I can also repro on my side. I’ve reported it internally to Power BI Team: CRI 38237757
I’ll post here once I get any update about it.

 

For the load issue, I cannot repro on my side. How many values do you have in the column which put into the slicer?

We have about 180 or so entries being loaded off of a tabular model sitting in azure analysis services. and I have done a rought count and it seems the dropdown initialy loads 100 entries and sometimes (most of the times ive experienced) doesnt load the rest during scroll actions.

 

It happens when the report is freshly opened (either by navigation or refreshing the page using the browser refresh button)

and this gets fixed once I click the Refresh button on the powerBI site UI.

But it all comes back if i refresh the page or navigate to the page again.

We are seeing this behavior on the Power BI service today (10/11/2018). It works properly in the desktop version but not in the online service. Our customer list is long and this makes it near impossible to use the dropdown to get the desired results.

Is there an update on this issue? Still having the same problems with our slicers on my report.
