BUG : Power BI not clearing previous results with empty SSAS cube results

When results are returned from a multidimensional analysis services cube and there are values, they are being displayed. The problem arises that if the results from the cube are empty say no sales for Holdings in January 2018 they are not clearing and replacing the prior results that are display. Misleading giving the impressions that the previous filtered results are now the current results.

So below Fire is the filter to get sales in January 2018, only the right most 7 is made visible ( but the whole number is correctly returned) .

Now the filter is changed to select Holdings, and yet after refreshing(  you see the dots going round in a circle in the top left of the matrix). The same result is displayed but this is incorrect as there are no results for Holdings.

This behaviour is wrong and highly misleading, How can this be resolved. There seems to be be no clear and refresh options before rendering the results of the current filter selected.

Hi @inayatkhan,

I'm not able to reproduce the issue on my side. Please verify the Holdings does not have data on January 2018. You can add the field which contains Fire and Holdings in Rows bucket of the matrix.

Also you can try to clear cache data and run the latest Power BI desktop version 2.57.5068.501

Hi Microsoft.

RESOLVED : Version 2.57.5068.501

This version of Power BI now renders the emtpy matrix when a selection has no data and then correctly renders it with data when another selection is made that has data.

THANK YOU.
