Apps Not Working Unless User is in Workspace

Hi all,

Started to notice this yesterday (09/01/2018), only appears newly created Apps are affected..

Reports which are part of newly created Apps do not work (each visualisation has a cross, couldn't load the data for this visual).

This occurs when we have granted a user access to an app, but that same user is not part of the original workspace.

If we grant the user access to the workspace itself, the report works fine.

Is this a known issue? Anybody else facing the same problem?

It works in my test both Pro and Pro trail user. Can I have more details?

1. Do you mean the users can't load the data for a report located in the App you published? (Regarding "granted a user access to an app")

2.  If you add the user in the app as member, everything will be OK?

3. What's the data source?

4. Is the user in the same organization with you?

Resolved in essense. It was a strange one, appears the PBIX file itself became corrupt.

I removed all data sources, relationships, tables (everything) from the file, and used the Enter data feature to add 2 dummy rows in, errors still occurred.

We eventually had to recreate the file, in exactly the same way. Which worked. Odd..
