Adding visuals gives error

I recently updated the desktop software to the newest one and since then I cant add a new visual from the 'get more visuals' button.
When I find a visual I want to test and add it to the report, it gives me an error: something went wrong. Stack Trace Message:
An error occurred while rendering the report.

Hi @Avlies ,

I couldn’t repro it. To make it more clear, could you provide the following info?

  • The version of your Power BI Desktop. You could check it by Help>About>Version in Power BI Desktop.
  • The complete name of the visual you are trying to add
  • Check whether you will get same issue if you try to add other visuals into your report
  • Check whether you have enabled Power BI infrastructure update option in Options(File>Options and Settings>Options>Preview features). Try to switch this option to see whether same issue will happen.

It appears there are a number of people having this issue.  I am also seeing this issue come up today.  I'm pasting the error log I get when I try to import any visual.

Version: 2.102.683.0

Any visual

I have enabled the Power BI infrastructure update and tried again without that switch enabled.  I get the same response:

Hi @JohnQ1978 ,

May I know whether you still have this issue? You may consider downloading the visual you need from Microsoft AppSource, and then imported it to Power BI Desktop as a workaround.

Must have been an issue with the store.  I just tried adding a visual and it imported properly.

Thanks!
