share dataset with external users.

Hello All,

I am Power Bi Pro user.

I have created a workspace and I published my report from power bi desktop.

In that workspace report and dataset have been created.

Then I selected create App and in that, I have selected report and dataset as a content.

Next step, I have added external users as well as the internal user and then published the app.

The internal user can edit the report and can create a new report from dataset but the external user cannot edit the report and create a new report from the dataset. why?

Can I share dataset with the external user?

If yes then how?

NOTE: the External users have power bi Pro account.

Hi @Anonymous,

In my opinion, the big concern of sharing externally could be security. Please refer to service-admin-azure-ad-b2b#considerations-and-limitations. The external users only can view the content of Apps. I would suggest you create an idea here.
