Hello, When Exporting to PDF from Power BI Desktop, I noticed that it seems as if the program is taking a screen shot of each page which it uses as the output image for PDF. One problem which i noticed is that the porgram does not let all the visuals on the page load first before taking the screenshot causing the image to be missing data. Please let me know your thoughts Kind Regards Piri

I just want to report a bug with the new look. The report/page name in the new look doesn't work, in below screenshot, the report name is Customer Details but the title in the middle is Farmlands Last 13 Month Trading: Thanks,

When slicer is used to search a text and clicked on Erase, it clears the filter but not the search term. If the slicer is oepned again, it looks like all the values are restricted and adds an extra step to delete the previous search term. Hi All, We have found that the report usage metrics are not updating. The last date we have is 18/07/2019. We are based in the Asia-Pacific. I have tried to refresh the tiles but does not affect the results. It seems a similar issue has been reported in the past but was resolved. Thanks, Andrew

Hi All, I am getting bellow error while trying to apply the Score Sentiment using AI Text Analytics: DataSource.Error: An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'An internal error occurred.' Details: DataSourceKind=AIFunctions DataSourcePath=AIFunctions Other two text analytics functions( Detect Language & Extract Key Phrases) works fine. Issue is only with Score Sentiment. I am using Power BI Oct 2022 version. Any idea how to fix this issue? Appreciate your help!! Thank you! Shephali

After yesterdays update to Power BI Service app publishing I've had to rebuild my entire navigation menu. That is OK, but all dashboards that are based on hidden reports now doesn't work. Workaround is unhiding the underlying reports, but I don't want the reports in the navigation panel, it just get messy. Please fix so drilling down from dashboards to a hidden report work again.

Hi Team, We have been noticing that when we hit Refresh now on the dashbaords , it finishes fast like within 2 minutes vs a scheduled Refresh takes about 14 minutes . What is the difference between these as they should have more or less the same time

As per the title all basic date slicers are stuck in the US date format and cannot be changed. My regional setting are set to UK and changing this around does not fix the issue.

Thanks DMMorogiannis for the heads up - issue seems resolved on my end as well. 🙂 --- When editing a Dashboard Text box, all previous text in the box is dropped from the edit view: Seems to occur on new or existing dashboards. This is a major headache for minor edits. I can't copy / paste previous text either so it means re-typing any text blocks from scratch until this is fixed.

I have a number of PBI dashboards each using Azure analysis server cubes and up until today they all ran fine. Today, I try to open them and I get the following error message "Windows authentication isn't supported in DirectQuery mode for this data source". I don't use a DirectQuery for my dashboards, and a colleague has been able to open one of them without problem. My PBI Desktop version seems to have been updated to Dec 2020, whereas my colleague is still using Nov 2020 so I suspect there is some problem with Dec 2020. It's very frustrating and I don't seem to be able to find a way to revert back to the Nov 2020 version.

Lately while I was maintaining the published reports from the Power BI desktop; noticed that after save, when I clicked on the Publish button, it calls the sqldmper.exe (the command window) and crashes; sometimes hanged and had to kill the task. Then I noticed PBD keeps logging me out during publish, calls that sqldmper.exe and after crash, have to relogin and publish till now. I believe there's a bug in latest update; I am running the january 2018 update. Is anyone else facing the same issue? Thanks, K3

We noticed that black borders displayed in slicer's dropdown items in all of our reports from Feb 16th, 2022. It looks quite ugly and our client cannot accept it. No frames are setup at the desktop level and it doesn't show that way at desktop either. Could you please cancel this formatting in the portal or give us an option to turn it off?

I have been working daily with power BI recently and it freezes at least 4 times a day. For freezing I mean that while dragging or changing some measures, it starts to load (the circular dots) but I can not do anything on it. If I try to close it from the task bar, then I can not press on "save" or "do not save". In other words I have to close it from the task manager and restart everything. This issue is quite frustrating as I might lose a lot of time trying to recover the work done and re-do it. I have the latest update of PowerBI Desktop. However, my laptop is not the most powerful as the processors is an "intel core i5". Could it be an hardware issue? Thanks

During the last 3 days we’ve verified that we’re unable to update information in some dataflows. It's a generic problem. We could not take the risk to deal with outdated information. Please check this NOW.

Previously, when editing our reports in the online mode (specifically changing text within text boxes), we were able to do this without any issues. However, over the last couple of days, we have noticed there is a new text editor appearing when editing in online mode. This text editor is directly covering our text box so we cannot see what is in it while typing. We have tried moving it around and tried looking for an option to shut it off but have not found anything. Also, the same behavior happens in desktop mode; it is a little better as it is not always covering the text but we cannot find a way to close it or move it in desktop either. Here is a screenshot: We have a lot of text before the "-Complaint" which we are not able to see. It would be great to get some functionality added into Power BI so that we are able to move this editor or close/disable it if it is not needed.

The performance of screen rendering, data refreshing, slicer updates, etc. drops considerably if/when you start a screen-sharing session in a Teams meeting. This is specific to PowerBI in the browser, as other applications/services continue functioning normally.

Automated subscriptions did not send from either workspace after refresh. REfresh succeeded but no email. Went to the dashboards and manually ran subscriptions. Still no email received. Normally emails are received at 7:00 am EST.
