Updating Template Application

Hi Team,

Hope all is going well. We would like to seek your assistance with our product available in AppSource. Link CloudMonitor
We are having a technical problem with the latest version of our product when we tried to update the previous version of the template application. It says "Couldn't overwrite the app

This version of the app can't be overwritten. To update to the latest version of this app, you'll have to install a new copy of the app." Could you help us fix this problem, please? See image below for you reference.Error on Update.png

Where did you update your app version ? I searched and found no similar error, can you provide your operation steps?

We have a workspace for the template application which we used for our product updates. Each time we have an update, we replace the existing reports/dataset and rebuild a new version of the application.  

Every time our product has been approved from AppSource we remove/delete the previous version.

We are getting the same error.  Unable to overwrite the app.

These are the steps and the message is shown after "Install"

Go to Release Management > Create App >

*If already created, then values will be populated.  Click thru tabs to confirm values.

*Under Control, make sure download .pbix is not enabled

Click 'Create app'

Close pop-up that says "Your app is ready for testing"

Release Management (again) > Promote app > Promote > Close pre-production install link

Promote app > Promote > COPY THE LINK THIS TIME Copy production install link

Open new browser window - either Edge or incognito tab

Log in to customer tenant service

Paste URL link that was copied (production install link) into browser address bar

"Install this PBI app?" box will pop up.  Click "Install".

Select top radio button - "Update the workspace and the app", click "Install".
