Hi all, I’m trying to create a custom tooltip in Power BI using a table (tried matrix too) that displays incident details including a long “Notes” field. The issue I’m having is that the Notes column is not wrapping text, and the tooltip cuts off the end of each line, making it unreadable.
I’ve tried all the common fixes but nothing has worked so far. Here’s what I’ve done:
Enabled Word wrap under Values and Column headers
Turned Auto-size column width off
Manually resized the column width
Switched from Table to Matrix visual
Confirmed the tooltip page size is set to Tooltip
Created a separate page for the Tooltip and linked it correctly to the main visual
Checked the text in the original CSV file (plain, not rich text or with odd characters)
Tried re-adding the Notes field directly to the visual rows (not as values)Rebuilt the visual from scratch with a clean dataset
Despite all of this, the Notes field still doesn’t wrap, and resizing the column doesn’t help either, it just resets or truncates the text.
Any ideas on what might be causing this or how to force text wrapping in tooltip visuals? Ican't for the life of me find the fix and would really appreciate your help with this.
Thankyou you kindly, in advance.
