URGENT!!: Map Visualization Not Working

Both (Map and Filled Map) visuals are no longer rendering online.

Both render OK on Power BI desktop but are blank online, showing only the MAP background.  The data is not mapped.

Please advise as this is a critical capability.

Hello,

Since I have downloaded the latest PowerbBI version, I do no longer see my customer dots in the mapping on PowerBI Desktop. I haven't changed nothing beside downloading the latest version.

Please help, I must present this mapping analysis in 2 days!

Thanks,

Hello,

I am getting the same weird behavior with maps after the July update. On BI Desktop looks fine but the web shows only part of the loations. Defining the location category to "place" makes some adressses dissapear for some reason on Desktop and online. What makes it even more odd is that there is one report that shows all the correct locations when I log in online but shows almost none when logged with other users that I've shared the report with.

Any response from microsoft about this one?

Thanks!

D

Resolver II

I am having the same issue since the June release, it was working before.

The problem is with the Map visual. The ArcGIS map is working well.

In my example, the field City comes from a Multidimensional Model and it is classified as a City. I just realised that is I have a Tabular model and classify the field as 'Place', it works; but, come on, it is a city....it was working... (Also there are no 'Place' classification on Multidimensional)

Following you can check how I am composing the name of City fields, and the diferrence between the two visuals.

Facing the same issue with the February update (2.55.5010.521).

Hi, we are facing the same issue in Azure Embedded (with the latest PowerBI update). The zip-codes do not show up in the map. Sometimes even the map itself does not show up. We tried to add country, remove country, change the column type - but nothing helps. It looks fine on PowerBI server, but after the  embedding into the webpage, all the information disappears from the map.

The problem occurs only with the filled map; bubbles with exact coordinates are working fine.

Please fix that! It is critical for our application.

We have a similar issue on some computers. Maps work fine on mine with Azure Embedded report and on desktop but on another computer the map only renders some data levels (like countries but not municipalities).

On the computer that does not work the user has windows 8 and chrome (and IE, does not work with it either).

Edit: Changing all the possible field data categories to "places" seemed to have fixed the issue for now.
