The unit display language has suddenly changed

The unit display language has suddenly changed in the charts uploaded to the PBI service.
For example, if it is 10 trillion, it used to be displayed as "10T", but it has been changed to display units in kanji such as "10兆 (10 chou)".

Until last week, , regardless of the language setting of the PBI service, the unit display in charts and cards was exactly the same as when created on the desktop. However, from this week, it seems that it has been linked to the language setting of the service.Is this a specification change?

In Japan, especially in business, English abbreviations are mainly used for unit display, because using Japanese unit display in charts can look busy or bad. For this reason, the specifications up to last week are preferred.

This is by design.
Because your Power BI Service application is in Japanese, the ”T “will be automatically translated to ”兆“
If it is “100bn” it will also be translated as ”十億“.

If you do not want the units to change, we recommend that you use the English version of Power BI Service.
