Text Box Number List does not retain formatting

Working in Power BI desktop, adding a Number List within a Text Box, it acts and looks just like it should.

Once published, it does not.

Instead of numbers/letters indented as it appears when building out the information, the text appears fine, but all the numbers are left-justified.

Please fix.  It makes report authors appear as though they don't know what they are doing with simple text formatting.

I would really like to use this more for instructions enabling folks to update their reports.

As it is now, it creates confusion.

Screen shots for your amusement.

Hi @jusTodd

I tried to restore the scenario you mentioned but failed, can you provide your pbix file for reference ? I need to use your pbix file to upload to Service for reference.

How to provide sample data in the Power BI Forum - Microsoft Fabric Community

Hi @jusTodd

I reproduced your problem based on the sample you provided, now I need more detailed information. For example: what are the version numbers of your Desktop and Service respectively?

Hi @jusTodd

This behavior is a known issue where bulleted lists are not correctly formatted in view mode on PBI Service. If Edit mode is enabled, then the formatting is correctly applied.

The PG team is already working on the issue, but the exact time frame for the fix has not been set yet.I'll continue to follow the progress and update.

Ah!  I had observed that with bullet lists recently too.  Thanks for looking into this @Anonymous .  It is most certainly appreciated.

Just came to see if this was already listed as an issue as I am also experiencing this. Glad to see the PG team is working on it. Disappointed to see it has been here since last July.
