Test as Role not working properly

Hello Team, 

   We are facing a strange issue, only on some datasets (not all). 

I'm ADMIN of the workspace (assigned to Premium Capacity P1) and when I try to Test the RLS with the Test as role,

The dataset is created on Excel files (no direct query or SSO).

Can you please help?

I've also tried to republish the dataset, but no luck.

Hi @sunshine_1234 ,

I test this feature in my Power BI Service Portal, it works well.

Please try to create a new .pbix file and try it.

Hello @Anonymous, thanks for your reply.

I tried to republish the dataset with a different name in the same workspace and the "Test as Role" is working well...

However, I would like to avoid reassigning all the security levels and share a different link with the Business.

I would like to understand what is the root cause of this issue because I have this behavior in more than 1 dataset.

Hello @Anonymous any news? This issue seems to be a bug on PowerBI Service, impacting only some datasets (not all), thanks for checking this. I published my issue to Get Help and it seems impacting other customers too. Thanks
