Tables nolonger importing from excel

In the latest PBI update, its nolonger recognising defined tables within a spreadsheet tab, and instead pulls in anything it sees. For example, if my table is set to cols A-E, but there is a comment in col Z (one cell only) it now pulls through columns A-Z. This cant be right can it?!? I am also unable to see my named tables when I attempt to import. Instead, I have to select the tab name.

Hi @Rich_P_G,

 

I have tested with Power BI desktop latest version 2.64.5285.741 64-bit (November 2018) but not reproduce the issue. In your scenario, please check if the table range in Excel is correct. After renaming table, please save and close the Excel file then get data in Power BI desktop again. 

 

If issue persists, please share Excel file with us. You can upload it to your OneDrive and send the share link to me via private message.
