Sumerize Data > Excel with Live Connection not working in Mac Excel

I am currently using Power BI to connect to an Excel workbook with a live connection. The workbook contains data that I summarize using Power BI. While this process works smoothly on Windows, I am facing difficulties when attempting to refresh the data in Excel on my Mac.

Specifically, when I click on "Data" > "Refresh All" in Excel on my Mac, the worksheet remains blank, and I do not see the expected output rows that I see on Windows.

Here are some additional details:

  • The live connection between Power BI and Excel is established without any errors in window.
  • I have verified that the data source is accessible and up-to-date.
  • Enabled the External Data Connection both in Mac and Window 

I have tried troubleshooting this issue by restarting both Power BI and Excel, as well as checking for any updates, but the problem persists.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or assistance you can provide to help resolve this issue and ensure that I can successfully summarize data in Excel with a live connection on my Mac.

Hi @gaurangpatel668 

Do you use the same version of the program in both Windows and mac? Like excel and PBI Desktop.

I am trying to get the report from the Power BI service/cloud.
Version for MS Office for Window :
