Sorting Filter Issues

Have data setup with Naming convention for Fiscal Year format, however sorting function will not allow my exhibit to be sorted from least value to greatest value for FiscalMonthName.

Hi @jayrog,

Do you mean you would like to sort from least FiscalMonthName 01-Jul to greatest value 12-Jun in the X axis, right?

You can click on the highlighted button below:

Thanks Qiuyun. No the issue is that when you select the FiscalName filter sorter it does decending. If you go to select it again (assuming it will then switch to ascending) it sorts based on Amount. So there's likely a bug with the sorting feature.

Hi @jayrog,

I have reported this issue internally: CRI 72350397. Will update here once I get any information.

Hi @jayrog,

There are two click zones on the same row. One to change sort direction (must click the icon), and another to pick the Field name (right side / text). Note: we've had multiple customers confused by this UI, and a new Sort UI experience is already completed, shipping in late July.

In the current implementation, clicking the sort field name that is currently on (FiscalMonthName) will turn it off, and then the Default sort logic kicks in and we sort by value descending. By design. In the new Sort UI, clicking an existing sorted field will do nothing since we interpret a click as a "turn on" gesture. The UI for Sort Direction and Sort Field are separated in the new UI.

Qiuyun Yu
