Sharing dashboard using link

I'm having issues with sharing my dashboard. I've tried a few different approaches:

Direct link: I've shared a direct link but it doesn't load the dashboard. It takes the recipient only to their workspace and not my dashboard.

QR Code: I've dicovered the QR code, but similarly, it only takes the recipient to their workplace and not my dashboard.

Direct Access: This is the only way that shares my dashboard and makes it accessible. But it's not a convenient process of getting to the dashboard. They have to, again, go back to their dashboard > share with me > then search for my dashboard.

I am idealing looking for a url-link that would directly take the recipient to the dashboard without them needing to browse through their entire power bi workspace.

Status: Investigating

Hi @mitch_1 ,

May I know how you share your dashboard with others? By the Share option or other methods? Is this ling generated by Share option or you directly copy from your browser?

Are these users organizational users or external users? What kind of roles do they have in your workspace access?

Hi Caiyun,

I realized it's a report, not a dashboard.

I use share option within the report. Usually it provides a url link in the pop-up window to copy/paste into the browser. Otherwise I share direct access from the same share button.

The other user are internal organization users. Their role is just viewing the report. They may select individual elements to see which applies to each other but they do not manipulate or edit the report structure.

Thank you!

Mitch
