Hi @vaibhavtiwariin,

After you click OAuth2 and sign in with your account, are you able to refresh the dataset?

When you back to data source settings to see credential after closing the auth dialog, it will display Anonymous, but actually the signed in account are saved somewhere in a service.

HI Team,
We are facing simillar issue while refreshing sharepoint folder datasources online (offline refresh is working fine and when same PBIX is published its failing).
Error message: "The credentials provided for the SharePoint source are invalid"
We are using OAuth2 authentication while configuring edit credentials, but when i go back to edit credentials it automatically reverts to Anonymous and online refresh fails stating this error.

We've started facing this issue since 30th Oct which has major impact on weekly deliveries. Below is the error snapshot

Hi all,

After you sign in with oAuth2 then back to edit credential tab, it's indeed displays Anonymous, but if we don't choose any authentication, it's able to refresh the dataset successfully. Please follow my steps to test again: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4h9u0pd907x8n9l/ScreenCapture_11-5-2018%203.19.25%20PM.wmv?dl=0.

Hi Qiuyun,

Thanks for sharing this.

It seems you are using sharePoint List , but in our case we are using sharePoint folder (Excel File).

Still we are getting same error.

Thanks

Hi @DipanjanGanguly,

It's working fine for SharePoint Folder on my side. If the issue still occur if you don't make any changes when you open edit credential pane as shown in the vieo ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/rnna03clmd4wbh5/ScreenCapture_11-6-2018%205.23.38%20PM.wmv?dl=0 ), I would suggest you create a support ticket to let engineers look into your environment.

Hello Team,

Even i am facing the same issue, was able to refresh the pbix file locally, after i publish the report to Power BI and schedule refresh is failing with the error "The credentials provided for the SharePoint source are invalid". Could some one help us on this issue as we have customer reports and they are continuously failing to refresh.

Thank you,

Ankaraju
