Scheduled Refresh error another excel file but different error message

A week or two back I experienced an issue with the PBI Gateway refreshing on a sharepoint site. It seemed to resolve itself but now it's happening again with a different error.

Refresh failing for refresh of Excel file on SharePoint. Why??? Worked fine for months, now suddenly not working for the same reason above. Please respond and fix. Considering Tableau as an option if these issues persist!

Hi all, 

Which data source used in the dataset, SharePoint Folder or Web data source? 

Does the report get data from the on-premises SharePoint instance or SharePoint online? 

I have tested my my side, if the dataset only contain SharePoint Folder data source which get data from Excel file in SharePoint online, after publishing the report to Power BI service, set valid credential for the data source in Dataset Settings, the refresh is successful. If you uses the same data source as ours to connect to Excel in SharePoint online, please try again on your side.

In my instance, the Exel file is on SharePoint online, using SharePoint folder connection. 

I was able to resolve after updating the credential on the Service by selecting a privacy level setting. This option was previously not available in the credential settings. The failure details (Access database...) were not particularly helpful.
