Relationship problem

Hello! I was trying to create a relationship and it just does not work. I tried it first by dragging the field I wanted to link from table Customer to table Order and it just didn't work. I also tried creating it by opening the "Manage relationship" button + tab but it didn't do anything. Just for curiosity I deleted the 1* relationship from table Customer to Order (the relationships I had were automatically detected) and tried creating it again by dragging the field in common. It should've worked but it didn't! So I guess something is not working as it should be. I already checked if maybe the format was different but SalesPersonID and EmployeeID both are Whole Numbers and there is no issue with that. Any guesses on what's wrong?

Thanks for your help!

ps. there is no pop-up after I try creating the relationship. It just does not do anything. No errors or similar showing after either dragging the fields or manually entering them with Manage relationships

Status: Investigating

Hi  @llul23 ,

Are you using the latest version of Power BI Desktop? Please provide the detailed version information .
I tried to do a simple test but it doesn't seem to reproduce the problem, any more information would be great.

Did you try creating a simplified version of your tables with just the key columns and a few rows of data to see if the relationship works ?

Best regards.

Spoiler

Hi  @v-xiaoyan-msft  , It's the first time I download power bi in this laptop. I did it directly from the microsoft store and this is the Version: 2.131.1203.0 64-bit (July 2024) and my windows edition is Windows 11 Home Single Language

And about testing with another data set. Yes, I did try. I simulated some similar setting with less rows, just for testing and same thing happened. It doesn't create relationships (neither manually nor dragging the fields)

I checked the default settings regarding relationships and this is what I have:

Update: I'm used to bigger screens. Not used to work making reports in a laptop. However mine is not small. It's a 16" laptop. So I make the font size big because I have low vision problems.
I made the font smaller than my "default" (which is a bigger size than the one most people use) because I realized that the "save" button was not showing when the relationship pop up opened. I thought it was still there and it was just a problem with the font size. But I guess is not just that. It seems like the interface of power bi stops being responsive when the font size gets bigger and it automatically "deletes" the save button. So when I was previously pressing enter it actually was not doing anything as the button was not there anymore. It would be great if you guys can make some changes regarding that because for people like me is more complicated to work with smaller font sizes.

Thanks for your help though!
