Power BI Gateway Personal does not install properly

I've installed Power BI Desktop Gateway (Personal) as and Administrator on my fresh, new installed Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit (only with Office 2016 Pro and some other, smaller applications). Installation has ended on step saying "everything is ok, let's configure". I click "configure" and nothing happens.

 

I already know, that repeating the installation does not help - I've tried it before Windows reinstall, I got the same errors that many other users writing on different communities had (e.g. https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Integrations-with-Files-and/Error-message-when-installing-Enterpris... - the solutions didn't help me then)

 

Is it possible to install this product in its current version?

 

And, would be MS so kind to tell us that wi will be their beta testers? I don't have problem with it, I'd only like to know that I'll have to spent a "little" bit more time then they say.

Do you mean that after click the Launch button as below and nothing happens?

Could you please try to search the “Power BI Gateway – Personal” shortcut and click it? It should be able to bring up the configuration dialog.

Exactly. Nothing happened.

 

Meantime, I've tried to uninstall the gateway, without success. Then tried to remove manually, according to suggestions on community forums (removed folders and registry entries of the gateway app). But now, trying to reinstall, stuck on another issue:

 

"Please uninstall the Microsoft Data Management Gateway before continuing."

I'm back. After some further registry cleaning (by key after DMGFOUND from installer log) I have Power BI Gateway Personal installed with the 'Launch' button. Clicking 'Launch', the dialog disappears, nothing happens.

 

Then, if I run Power BI Gateway - Personal (as Admin) again,  the dialog with 'Wait, we're still checking fomething' appears. (my own translation from polish)

I've some issues too. The Personal Gateway show me that I'm Connected, but when I go to the Manage gateways in the PowerBI appears that I don't have any data gateway.

Don't appears nothing about configure too, just the screen below.

I suggest you to create a support ticket at http://support.powerbi.com (see bottom of page) since it seems to be machine specific.

If it shows Connected, then you can go to dataset setting to choose the personal gateway, it should be shown online there.

The manage gateways page is for on-premises gateway but not for personal gateway. If you didn’t install and configure on-premises gateway, there will be nothing listed there.

I read that the Personal Gateway is only available for the Power BI Pro. I don't use the Pro version.
