Password madness

Can anybody explain to me, how to avoid Microsofts damned password madness in Power BI? Anytime I login to PBI Desktop, Microsoft asks for a new paasword. If I give a new password and want to modify my account, they ask me again for the login name and password I just entered. Top of the madness is, that when I start the login at PBI Desktop and enter my login name, that a window pops up, that asks to to which account I want to login! Hello! I've got only one PBI account.

What version of Desktop do you have? When did this happen? Have you encountered the same error before?
